Helpful Information

Billing & Insurance

We are In-Network with several insurance providers such as:

  • TriWest/VA

  • Tricare West

  • Tricare East

  • Medicare (HI, CA, SC, FL)

  • Medicaid (selected plans)

Insurance coverage is based on your specific insurance plan. Some plans that cover speech or occupational therapy often only cover therapy services if they are related to accidents, illnesses, or injuries. Some plans frequently do not include services for developmental delays.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What if my insurance doesn't cover therapy services?

We offer convenient debit and credit card payment options for insurance copays, private/self pay patients and non covered therapy services. We do not offer courtesy billing for out-of-network insurance.

  • Why is there a waiting list for services?

Unfortunately, there is currently a national shortage of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) because of limited openings in SLP graduate programs, increased speech delays from the COVID-19 pandemic and hiring challenges, including insurance related timelines. We understand that getting help quickly is essential and we do our best to keep our waiting list as short as possible.

  • What is Teletherapy and what do I need for the evaluation and therapy?

Teletherapy is a virtual (online) therapy option that provides a way for our clients to receive therapy services from the comfort of their home environment. Research studies have proven teletherapy to be as effective as in-person therapy.

The technical requirements include: a personal desktop or laptop with a webcam and microphone, and strong, reliable internet connection.

We use Zoom as our secure platform, covered under Zoom’s Business Associate Agreement.

  • How should I prepare for a teletherapy based sessions?

Allow for Extra Time to Prepare-Try to log in about 5-10 minutes early to test out the Zoom link we emailed and make sure you have a good Wi-Fi connection and the microphone and video settings are working well.
